Why did Saphed start embroidery

Indian embroidery belongs on clothes you actually wear

What you don't see is the real collection.

Before Letters to Him became what you see, there were sketches. Dozens of them. Colour combinations that didn't work. Embroidery patterns stitched, ripped, and then stitched again. A jacket pocket positioned three different ways before it felt right.

We already showed you the finished piece. A nice photo. Clean lines.

Now we want to show you the trial and error behind it: a flower embroidered by hand, once, then again. Then differently. Because the first version didn’t feel right. The second was closer. The third felt good.

Craft can never mean perfection. But the refusal to settle before it's right.

Letters to Him carries this. The appliqué work on the jacket, not applied once, tested and repositioned until it belonged. The hand-placed embroidery on the kurta, each petal deliberated.

The colour variations, the technical precision, the small details that take time, these aren't luxuries. This is just why it takes longer and costs more.

Thank you for valuing this. For being those who understand and support what's unseen.
