Your handcrafted piece has a "flaw"

Customers ask us about the threads showing on an embroidered piece. Why the back of it looks different from the front. Why some knots are showing.

We love these questions, and here's what's actually happening.

Our karigars embroider by hand. Every thread is placed by needle and decision. Sometimes the thread shifts slightly, not because they made a mistake, but because they felt the fabric needed it.

The knots that show on the back? That's where the stitch began. The edges of embroidery aren’t geometric because they are guided by hand, and not cut by machine.

None of this is accidental. All of it takes time.

Karigars take days to make a handcrafted piece. Because they're not making copies. They are making pieces, each one unique because it was made using human hands, judgment and attention.

The variations you notice aren't flaws, they are proof someone spent time on your piece.

That's why it takes longer. That's the cost of something real.

Next time you notice something about an embroidered piece that looks slightly different or imperfect, that's not an error. That's the beauty of the craft.

And every time you choose a handcrafted piece, you're supporting the karigars.
